A Lesbian couple will be marrying in Taiwan next month in a traditional Buddhist ceremony ceremony. According to the HuffPo article, the couple was encouraged by a Buddhist master to not only wed, but to have a traditional ceremony.
The brides will wear white wedding dresses and the wedding will consist of blessings and prayers by monks and nuns and lectures by Buddhist monks on marriage and its meaning.
Fish Huang, one of the women said;
we are not only doing it for ourselves, but also for other gays and lesbians…it is meaningful to us that our wedding can give hope to other homosexuals and help heterosexuals understand how Buddhism views sexuality.
I hope we get to see photos of the ceremony and the happy couple!
